Attorneys to host educational meetings on rail-trail conversion near High Springs

ALACHUA, Fla. – Attorneys Lindsay S. C. Brinton and Meghan S. Largent from the Federal Takings & Rails to Trails practice of law firm LewisRice will host educational meetings in Alachua on Monday, December 15, and Wednesday, December 17. They will discuss the potential compensation claims for landowners whose property lies along a proposed rail-trail conversion that would turn 1.4 miles of a former CSX railroad corridor near High Springs into a public-use hiking and biking trail. Dozens of local landowners may be eligible for compensation from the federal government for the taking of their land.

They have recovered compensation for landowners in Sarasota County, Pinellas County, Lee County, Lake County, and Miami-Dade County.
