A 24-year-old man accused of fatally shooting his 17-year-old boyfriend at a Marion County gas station will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Last week, Marion County jurors found Henry Jonathan Valencia guilty of second-degree murder with a firearm in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Ocala resident Nosiah Santos, which occurred on Friday, May 30. Following his conviction, Valencia was sentenced to life behind bars.
Court records show that on May 30, at around 2:25 p.m., Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Petro Travel Center located at 7401 W Highway 318 in Reddick after receiving reports of a shooting incident.
When deputies arrived at the gas station, they found a male victim, Santos, who was lying on the ground next to a gas pump. He had sustained a gunshot wound, and he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries…
