Man on probation arrested for home invasion robbery and fleeing

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Taurus Cordarryl Duncan, 36, was arrested yesterday on a warrant for home invasion robbery after allegedly fleeing from a police officer.

At about 5:15 p.m. on December 6, Duncan reportedly got into an argument with a woman he was dating, and when she asked him to leave her residence, he left. However, about 10 minutes later, he allegedly came back and kicked open the door to her residence, causing about $500 in damage. Once inside, he allegedly said he wanted his gifts back and snatched a necklace from her neck and a wig from her head; he reportedly threw both on the floor and left but said he would return. A Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officer filed a sworn complaint, charging Duncan with burglary of an occupied dwelling, unarmed home invasion robbery, and domestic battery, and a warrant was issued for Duncan’s arrest…
