HAWTHORNE, Fla. (WCJB) – Residents near Redwater Lake say they are growing increasingly concerned after a plane that crashed into the lake Saturday remains submerged, raising fears about possible environmental damage.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the pilot survived the crash. However, neighbors worry that fuel or other contaminants from the wreckage could pollute the lake.
