GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A man from Gainesville started off the New Year behind bars after sheriff’s deputies say he attacked the people living in his house with a large knife.
Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say they responded to reports of a stabbing at a home on Southeast 45th Terrace during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day.
Deputies were told that Thomas Sanford, 44, got into an argument with a woman living in the home. He told her he was going to “kill everyone.”
The victims say he then grabbed a large knife from the kitchen. A male resident attempted to defend the woman, and Sanford used the knife to cut his leg. He then threw the victim onto a table…
