GAINESVILLE, Fla. – One person was transported to a hospital for evaluation this morning after being extricated from a vehicle that struck a power pole in the 3000 block of SE 35th Street.
At about 10:42 a.m. on January 2, units from Alachua County Fire Rescue and Gainesville Fire Rescue responded to a crash with entrapment and found a single vehicle that had hit a power pole. One person was trapped inside the vehicle, and crews stabilized the vehicle and used the “Jaws of Life” to remove the patient from the vehicle; the patient was transported to a local hospital for evaluation…
