OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – The family of Ocala’s longest-serving city council member, Mary Sue Rich, is making sure to honor one of her final wishes.
Mary Sue Rich’s family is inviting community members to be a part of a choir to perform at her celebration of life on Saturday, Jan. 3. This will start at noon at the Central Christian Church on NE 14th St. in Ocala.
This includes people from Marion County and the surrounding areas. They are looking for 20-30 people, but welcome more to join.
“It’s because she had such a big impact on the community. I mean matriarch, councilwoman, leader,” shared Dreall Williams, Speaks Funeral Home representative. “Most importantly, a woman of character, grace, virtue. So we just want to make sure that it’s a great celebration to honor her life and legacy in Marion County.”…
