Redshirt sophomore quarterback from Sacramento State, Jaden Rashada has announced that he is entering the transfer portal, per On3 Sports, but his track record precedes him, and it’s one that has a lot of heads shaking.

If you’re wondering why that name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s a former Florida commit. Rashada, the Pittsburgh, California native (from Pittsburgh High School) originally committed to the University of Miami of as part of his 2023 recruitment trail. He then de-committed from Miami and committed to the University of Florida. He then de-committed from the Gators and committed and enrolled at Arizona State. This is where things got a little ugly, and were very public.
When Rashada de-committed from Florida he was also in the process of sueing Billy Napier and the Florida boosters. He claimed they defrauded him out of millions of dollars by backing out a promised $13.85 million agreement. He was the first known college athlete to sue his coach or a booster of name, image, and likeness deals. It was a lawsuit that was made very public and ultimately the argument over the agreement between UF and Rashada led to him de-committing and then committing to Arizona State…
