Gainesville teenager indicted for firearm possession with removed serial number

GAINESVILLE, Florida — Devon Oliver, an 18-year-old from Gainesville, Florida, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of possessing a firearm with a removed serial number. The indictment was announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

Oliver appeared for his arraignment in federal court before United States Magistrate Judge Midori A. Lowry on December 23, 2025, in Gainesville.
