A Florida man was apprehended this week for armed robbery, his second after being released from prison for similar offenses in November 2025, according to authorities.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General store on U.S. 441 in Summerfield at 7:30 p.m. Sunday to investigate an armed robbery report. Witnesses stated that an armed Black man wearing a ski mask threatened to shoot everyone in the business if the employees did not hand over money. The employees complied by handing over a bag of money, and the suspect fled.
Responding deputies saw a man matching the suspect’s description and pursued him, eventually apprehending him in the 15100 block of SE 91st Court Road. According to body-worn camera video supplied by the sheriff’s office, the defendant was still wearing the ski mask when he was arrested…
