GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward says city leaders are considering what they can do to assist Heartwood Soundstage after its leaders announced budgetary issues.
Ward said Heartwood has boosted business around downtown Gainesville and near Depot Park, so it would be in the city’s interest to support the music venue.
“So I don’t know exactly where we’ll end up with that, but we will have conversations about it, and I absolutely want Heartwood to succeed because as that nonprofit succeeds, we see other success surrounding it,” said Ward…
