Eagle Scout who built Free Little Libraries at Ocala parks honored by county officials

A local student who earned his rank as Eagle Scout by designing, building, and installing Free Little Library kiosks at parks across Ocala was recognized by Marion County officials on Tuesday morning.

William Alexander “Cash” Collins was honored by the Marion County Board of County Commissioners during its regular meeting on Tuesday, January 20, at the McPherson Governmental Complex.

Cash, who is the son of Mary Anne and Charles Collins, achieved Eagle Scout rank on August 20, 2025.

As part of Cash’s Eagle Scout service project, the young man designed, built, and installed Free Little Library kiosks at three parks in Ocala: Toms Park (2300 NW Magnolia Avenue), Wyomina Park (NE 10th Street/NE 11th Avenue), and Clyatt Park (1501 SE 17th Street).
