Release from Alachua County Sheriff’s Office
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – During the early morning hours of Sunday, February 1, 2026, deputies responded to a residence in the 8400 block of NE 77th Lane in Gainesville regarding a person shot.
Law enforcement arrived on scene within five minutes. Once at the location, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound. Deputies rendered aid before EMS arrived and transported him to an area hospital for treatment. The male is expected to survive…
