Gainesville, FL – Deputies in Alachua County arrested a wanted convicted felon Monday afternoon, February 2, 2026, following a brief chase on East University Avenue, according to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies on patrol in the 1300 block of East University Avenue located 40-year-old Tabaree Lewis, who was wanted on multiple narcotics and fleeing-related warrants. Authorities said the charges included trafficking more than 14 grams of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell, and tampering with evidence. Lewis also had a history of felony convictions, including robbery with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed firearm, and aggravated fleeing and eluding law enforcement…
