A Gainesville mother has filed a lawsuit against Airbnb and three homeowners after her child allegedly suffered severe injuries in a near-drowning incident at a short-term rental property in Ocala.
Dominique Sheffield, acting as the parent and natural guardian of the minor child, identified as S.G., filed the complaint on Jan. 30, 2026, in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court for Marion County.
