A stretch of Interstate 75 in Marion County is heavily congested on Monday afternoon, and the highway’s interchange with SR 200 is also backed up as emergency personnel respond to multiple accidents in the area this afternoon.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, congestion is being reported between mile markers 338 and 354 in the northbound lanes of I-75 through Marion County on account of two separate incidents.
Although details are limited, one of the accidents occurred just after 2 p.m., while the other occurred just before noon.
In addition to the accidents that are impacting the northbound lanes of the interstate, FDOT is reporting a crash on State Road 200 at the roadway’s interchange with I-75.
