CITRA, Fla. (WCJB) – Marion County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of a young girl in Citra on Thursday as a homicide.
Sheriff’s deputies say they responded to a home on Northeast 44th Avenue in Citra at noon, where a child was found unresponsive. The girl was taken to the hospital, where she died.
Deputies say they have taken a man at the property into custody for questioning after being told he harmed the child. They are also speaking with witnesses at the scene, including both adults and children…
