Ocala property owner using shipping containers for proposed dog training facility, kennels

A local couple is asking Marion County officials for permission to use repurposed shipping containers at their 20-acre property in Ocala to create kennels and a professional dog training and breeding facility.

Libor and Rachael Zavalsky, owners of K-9 Specialists, have submitted an application for a special use permit to allow for a canine breeding kennel and training facility on their nearly 20-acre parcel in southwest Ocala.

The request which will be heard by the Marion County Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, February 23, seeks to house up to 19 dogs at the Zavalskys’ property (8201 and 8205 SW 27th Avenue).
