UF receives a series of hoax threats

The University Police Department sent two emails to students Monday regarding multiple hoax threats.

In the initial email, sent at 11:10 a.m., UPD reported several departments received emails threatening safety on campus. At 3:47 p.m., a follow-up email reported continued threats in the form of emails and calls.

The College of Nursing and the College of Health and Human Performances were among those that received threats, according to UF spokesperson Cynthia Roldán. The threats are still under active investigation, Roldán said, but the university has no further comment on them at this time…
