Jacksonville man arrested for stabbing co-worker in Alachua

ALACHUA, Fla. – Jason Lamar Jones, 50, of Jacksonville, was arrested yesterday in Alachua for allegedly stabbing a co-worker at a work site in Alachua.

At about 1:33 p.m. on February 26, an Alachua Police Department officer responded to a work site where Jones, who works for a temporary employment agency, had gotten into a physical fight with a co-worker. The victim said he tried to intervene in the fight, and Jones reached for the victim’s work knife and screwdriver; another co-worker tried to stop Jones from grabbing the victim’s knife, but Jones allegedly grabbed it and cut the victim’s back several times…
