Gainesville man indicted on federal drug and firearm charges

GAINESVILLE, Florida — Eddie Jerome Scott, a 38-year-old from Gainesville, Florida, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on multiple charges, including drug distribution and firearm possession.

Scott faces two counts of methamphetamine distribution, one count of possession with intent to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl, as well as charges related to possessing a firearm in connection with drug trafficking and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
