STARKE, Fla. — Bradford County Sheriff Gordon Smith announced on Friday that two 20-year-olds were arrested after being reportedly seen “exchanging” a shotgun near a local high school.
Sheriff Smith says that at around 12:30 p.m., a school district employee had seen two subjects in a parking lot near Bradford High School’s tennis courts “exchanging a shotgun partially covered by a towel.”
As deputies responded on scene shortly after, Smith says that the school was put on a “Shelter in Place” status. No students are said to have been in any direct danger, as well as no firearms being discharged.
