Gainesville, Fla. – Temperatures dropping to 31°F before sunrise Wednesday could damage plants and outdoor vegetation across a wide stretch of North Central Florida, with frost forming as early as 4 a.m.

According to the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, a Frost Advisory remains in effect from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday for Bradford, Gilchrist, Alachua, Clay, Putnam, and Marion counties. Light winds and clear skies will allow rapid cooling, creating ideal conditions for frost formation across both rural and suburban areas…
