A mandatory burn ban is now in effect across Alachua County from March 27 through April 4, 2026, due to dry conditions and high wildfire risk. The ban prohibits all unpermitted open burning, including campfires, bonfires, yard and household trash, construction debris, organic debris, and fireworks.
