Law enforcement officials targeted illegal alcohol and disposable containers during a two-day crackdown on the Rainbow River this past weekend, issuing nearly $1,500 in fines and removing hundreds of pounds of prohibited items.
Operation “Party’s Over,” a collaborative effort by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Agriculture/Marine Unit and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, took place on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29.
