Traffic moving after crash shuts down I-75 north near Sumter-Marion County line

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The northbound lanes of Interstate 75 were shut down in central Florida on Wednesday after a semi truck overturned in the roadway.

The crash happened at around 5 a.m. near mile-marker 335 at the Sumter-Marion County line, which is near The Villages.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver, identified as a 29-year-old man from Jacksonville, was hauling a load of pallets when he fell asleep and lost control of the truck. The driver suffered minor injuries, but did not go to the hospital…
