Bronson brush fire contained as neighbors offer support: ‘Community that cares’

BRONSON, Fla. (WCJB) — A brush fire that caused evacuations in Bronson is now contained, but for those living nearby, the impact is still being felt.

A 40-acre fire broke out near County Road 24, close to homes near the Bronson Speedway, before crews were able to get it contained. While the fire is no longer spreading, smoke still lingers across the area.

For many residents, this, along with the larger Cow Creek Fire, has been a wake-up call. Neighbors are now stepping up to help one another…
