Annual Point in Time count results show lower numbers of homeless people in North Central Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – This year, we’re seeing lower numbers of homeless people in North Central Florida as a result of the annual Point-in Time count

The point-in-time count is conducted nationwide every January to provide a federally required count of homelessness trends.

Numbers released by the agency identified 613 homeless people, and that’s down from 887 last year and includes people in shelters and on the street…
