QUEEN CREEK, AZ (AZFamily) — Road conditions have put homeowners in a Queen Creek-area county island at odds with the water district that serves them, and residents say their concerns have gone largely unaddressed.
The area is served by the Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District, which supplies water to about 1,000 homes between Riggs Road and Hunt Highway. Though residents carry a Queen Creek mailing address, the community is a county island and is not part of the town.
Homeowners raise concerns
Nichole Brainard has lived in the community for more than a decade and is among several homeowners who contacted Arizona’s Family Investigates with concerns about the district.
“I’ve tried to work with the district, ask questions, get information,” Brainard said. “I’ve been bullied. I’ve been told I don’t know what I’m talking about.”…
