Queen Creek police warn of phone scams

The Queen Creek Police Department is warning residents about phone scams

The QCPD has received several reports from residents of scam phone calls with the caller stating they are with the police department and requesting payment or personal information over the phone.

“If you receive one of these calls, please hang up. Do not give them any information or provide payment over the phone,” QCPD posted on its Facebook page.

Here are some reminders from QCPD:

  • QCPD will never call you to demand money over the phone or threaten legal action or issuance of a police warrant if you don’t pay.
  • Do not provide any personal or financial information over the phone.
  • Hang up and call the QCPD non-emergency number, 480-358-3500, to verify the call.

If you have fallen victim or want to report suspicious activity, residents are asked to call the department’s non-emergency phone number.
