Amazon Snaps Up 220-Acre Site in Laveen for $277M, Eyeing Phoenix for Data Center Expansion

Amazon, the tech and e-commerce company, is expanding its presence in Phoenix by acquiring a large parcel of land in Laveen for potential use as a data center campus. As first reported by ABC15, Seattle-based Amazon.com Inc. purchased the 220-acre site for $277 million in cash. This acquisition amounts to over $1.2 million per acre for the Valley property.
