PHOENIX – This year’s Arizona Capitol Christmas tree is a majestic Ponderosa pine gifted to the state by the San Carlos Apache Tribe. “We are honored to receive a tree from a tribal nation for the second year in a row. As we deepen relationships with tribal communities, this tree celebrates the vibrant cultures that make Arizona so special,” Gov. Katie Hobbs said in a press release Monday, three days after the tree was harvested and transported to Phoenix.
