Fountain Hills: Sheriff’s call log

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following incidents during the week from Thursday, Dec. 26, through Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Friday, Dec. 27

*A resident of the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. reported that an unknown subject attempted to steal a vehicle that was parked in a carport causing damage to the steering column of the vehicle.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject attempted to steal a vehicle that was parked in a parking lot. The window was broken and there was damage to the steering column of the vehicle.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject stole a vehicle which had been parked in a parking lot.

*A driver was arrested following a traffic incident involving an MCSO deputy at Fountain Hills Boulevard and Ironwood Drive. MCSO is reporting that a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and nearly collided with a marked MCSO vehicle. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. Deputies reported that the driver of the vehicle failed to provide identification to the deputy and did not verbally provide an accurate name to the deputy. The driver was arrested and booked into jail due to their refusal to provide their identifying information.
