SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily)— IKEA is coming to Scottsdale! While it won’t be like its behemoth warehouse and showroom cousin in Tempe, the new ‘plan and order’ concept will allow customers to plan and order their favorite IKEA items, including a ship-to-store pickup option.
When will IKEA in Scottsdale open?
The new format store is projected to open sometime this spring (2025).
Where will the new IKEA location be?
The new IKEA will be located at The Promenade shopping center, located at Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Boulevard in Scottsdale.
What is IKEA’s new Plan and Order store format?
According to the company, the new “Plan and Order Points with Pick-Up” stores will offer a different experience than IKEA’s usual warehouse and showroom setup. IKEA says the new format aims to give customers the chance to work with their team members to plan and order more complex furnishings like kitchens, bathrooms, and closet systems.
Customers will no longer need to drive to the nearest warehouse to collect their purchases. IKEA says it will ship these items to the new store, enabling customers to pick them up directly at the storefront.
New locations are set to open in Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Hunt Valley, Maryland; Beaverton, Oregon; and three places in California—Thousand Oaks, Ontario, and Colma…
