Komatsu took a step toward expanding its Mesa footprint Wednesday when it broke ground on a 215,000-square-foot sales and service facility.
Komatsu, a Japanese manufacturer of construction, mining, forestry and heavy industrial equipment, is investing $80 million into the facility and anticipates completing it by July 2026. The project sits adjacent to one end of the expanding Mesa Gateway Airport’s runway.
About a year ago, the Business Journal first reported Komatsu’s plans to expand and build its second facility on the 230-acre Mesa Ellsworth Business Park.
