TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A driver is in custody after a deadly hit-and-run in Tempe late Friday night.
According to Tempe police, officers were called out for reports of the hit-and-run near Scottsdale and McKellips roads around 11:30 p.m. Investigators say the pedestrian died from their injuries, and the driver fled the scene.
Shortly after the collision, Scottsdale police tracked the suspect’s vehicle to 70th Place and Palm Lane, less than two miles from the original crash scene. The driver and multiple passengers attempted to run away from officers, but all were later detained…
