Gilbert Fire & Rescue seeking community volunteers

The Gilbert Fire & Rescue Department is inviting community members who are 18 years or older to join its Community Assistance (COM251) Volunteers team to assist in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Volunteers work side by side with Gilbert firefighters and have the opportunity to help displaced families, install and inspect smoke alarms, assist with transportation, connect people to vital resources and help with any other situation the day brings.

After training, volunteers only need to commit to two four-hour shifts per month, making it easier to help while balancing school, work or other commitments…
