Mesa police arrested Christopher Watkins, 33, on suspicion of first-degree murder and child abuse after a three-year-old boy was found dead while under his care in 2024.
Police responded to reports of a toddler who was not breathing near Roosevelt and Broadway roads in Mesa on Nov. 27, according to Maricopa County Superior Court documents.
