43rd Fallen Officer Historical Marker to honor Officer Zane Coolidge

PHOENIX — A Fallen Officer Historical Marker will be put in place this September to honor Phoenix Police Officer Zane Coolidge, who was killed in the line of duty exactly one year before the marker is scheduled to be put in place.

Coolidge, 29, died in September 2024 after he was shot while on duty near McDowell Road and 16th Street. The officer left behind a wife and a 5-month-old child.

The historical marker will be installed on McDowell Road, just east of 16th Street, and will be the 43rd historical marker…
