Students write nearly 400 ‘thank you’ cards to Chandler police officers

CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — A handwritten note can hold a lot of meaning, especially coming from a child. That’s why an East Valley school did Something Good on a day that forever changed America.

As many remembered the thousands killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, residents also honored Chandler police officers for the work they do every day, protecting the community.

The Chandler Police Department shared photos of officers reading heartfelt notes from schoolchildren. Officers received nearly 400 ”Thank You” cards from kindergarten students at Harper Farm Elementary…
