The Gilbert Police Department has launched its recruitment for Gilbert Class 10, inviting individuals to begin the journey toward a career in law enforcement.
Applicants are encouraged to apply today to secure a spot in the upcoming academy class beginning March 2026.
Minimum qualifcations
- 21 years or older by the time of the academy graduation;
- High school diploma or GED;
- U.S. citizen;
- Valid Arizona driver’s license;
- No prior felonies or patterns of criminal conduct.
Upon succesfully completing the application, candidates will undergo a thorough hiring process:
- Completion of the Arizona Post personal history form;
- Completion of the physical agility test with a passing score:
- Sit Ups: 36 (within 1 minute);
- Push Ups: 20 (untimed);
- 1.5 Mile Run: 15:48 minutes.
- Completion of the written exam if the candidate does not already have proof of an associate’s degree or higher or two years of honorable active military service;
- A background investigation and psychological/medical examination.
No prior experience or training is required. Recruits will receive full academy training while earning a competitive salary and benefits.
