Man dies in collision with vehicle in north Phoenix

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a north Valley collision that left an 84-year-old man dead Thursday night, according to a release.

Officers responded to the area of 32nd Street and Campo Bello Drive regarding collision involving a pedestrian about 7:35 p.m. Oct. 30.  According to the release, when officers arrived, they located the adult male pedestrian, later identified as Edward Pickles, with serious injuries.

Pickles was transported to a nearby hospital, but he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The vehicle involved remained on scene after the collision, according to the release…
