A neighborhood disturbance in Johnson Ranch, San Tan Valley, has been making waves as an elderly man has been reportedly sunbathing sans pants in his driveway, an act which was met with mixed enforcement action by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. According to FOX 10, after receiving a call last Friday about the man’s public exposure, a deputy arrived and, upon confirming the situation, opted not to arrest the 76-year-old man, relying on his discretion and consideration of the man’s age.

In an interview, the deputy claimed the goal was not to “take an old man to jail.” Meanwhile, Adult Protective Services has been notified to further assess the man’s mental state. However, a source of contention has bubbled up as a neighbor, Barbara, disputed the sheriff’s office’s claim that she did not want to press charges. “This account is inaccurate and needs to be corrected,” per information revealed by FOX 10.

Barbara Diaz, a resident, voiced her concerns, saying, “We live in a very high traffic area where the kids are always walking by.” Diaz, who has a 10-year-old daughter, emphasized the family-friendly nature of the neighborhood, expressing her discomfort with the situation, according to a Yahoo News report.
