Pop N’ Bottles Liquor Lot Turns Into Crime Scene On Buckeye Road

A Saturday night shooting turned a central Phoenix drive-thru liquor store into a homicide scene, leaving one man dead and a busy Buckeye Road intersection once again behind police tape.

Phoenix police say officers were called just before 9:45 p.m. to reports of several shots fired near 16th Avenue and Buckeye Road. When firefighters arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound in the Pop N’ Bottles Drive Thru Liquor parking lot, where he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Arizona’s Family.

Detectives have roped off the parking lot as they collect evidence and interview witnesses, trying to piece together what led up to the gunfire on one of central Phoenix’s main corridors.
