4-year Loop 303 project in Goodyear begins Monday

GOODYEAR, AZ (AZFamily) — A four-year, $613 million project to expand Loop 303 in Goodyear begins Monday.

The project will create four miles of new freeway and will extend Loop 303 southward in the West Valley from Van Buren Street to Maricopa County 85.

The extension will follow the current alignment of Cotton Lane. The improvements will create three general-purpose lanes in each direction between Van Buren Street and Lower Buckeye Road and two general-purpose lanes in each direction between Lower Buckeye Road and Maricopa County 85, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Some lane restrictions and closures will be needed on Loop 303 and Cotton Lane, on Loop 303 ramps and on cross streets throughout the project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
