A man is in critical condition after a car struck him in Phoenix’s Maryvale neighborhood early Saturday, a violent overnight crash that pulled detectives into the intersection and left nearby residents rattled. Officers were called shortly before 3 a.m., and the man was taken to a hospital with life‑threatening injuries.
Police responded to the area of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road, where they say the pedestrian was outside a marked crosswalk when he was hit, according to Arizona’s Family. Arizona’s Family also reported this was the third serious pedestrian crash in Phoenix in just two days, following deadly collisions near 7th Street and Thomas Road and at 15th and Clarendon avenues.
