As part of the City of Avondale’s Fiscal Year 2027 Pavement Preservation Program, the Public Works Department, in partnership with ViaSun, will perform Slurry III maintenance treatments on several roadways throughout the city beginning Oct. 6.
Work is scheduled from Oct. 6 through Nov. 8, with crews working from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work will include lane restrictions and closures while crews complete the pavement preservation treatments.
The current work schedule includes:
- Oct. 6-7: Dysart Road, Van Buren Street to Buckeye Road
- Oct. 24-25: Dysart Road, Indian School Road to Thomas Road
- Oct. 27-28: Thomas Road, 107th Avenue to east of 103rd Avenue (RID Bridge)
- Oct. 27-28: Indian School Road, Dysart Road to the west city limits (Old Litchfield Road)
- Oct. 29-30: Van Buren Street, Dysart Road to Manzanita Drive to the Agua Fria Bridge
- Nov. 3-4: Van Buren Street, 107th Avenue to Avondale Boulevard
- Nov. 7-8: Lower Buckeye Road to east of Avondale Boulevard
Drivers traveling through these areas should expect lane restrictions, closures, and possible short delays during work hours. Crews will post advance signage and make every effort to minimize impacts to traffic.
