Burrito Shack Forced to Relocate Following Closure; Launches GoFundMe

After serving the community for the past 17 years, Burrito Shack at 5663 S Power Road has been forced to close its doors and is looking to move to a new location.

The restaurant was recently hit with a cease and desist order to shut down immediately after an inspection declared the property was outdated and the building was not up to minimum requirements, according to a recently launched GoFundMe . Company owners Jonny Grafting and Zep Lucero hope to raise around $10,000 so the restaurant can relocate and continue to serve the community. While the campaign was recently launched, the co-owners have already raised around $4,000 for the relocation.

“Over the past few years, we have asked for repairs to be done, but Lanord has not yet been repaired,” according to the GoFundMe. “Unfortunately, these problems have hurt our ability to continue to serve our great community of burrito shack patrons for over 17 years. Due to these reasons, we cannot operate at the facility and have no timeframe for when this would be operable, as it would take multiple months for the building to be operational.”
