ADEQ requiring company to make corrections after nitric acid spill in Buckeye

BUCKEYE, Ariz. – Environmental officials are requiring a company to make corrections after 10,000 pounds of nitric acid were spilled in Buckeye last month. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality announced Friday it had sent a “Notice of Violation” to the Thatcher Company following a hazmat situation reported on June 21.
