Arizona girl, 4, dies in 130F hot car after family ‘forgot she was in back seat’

A tragic incident in Arizona saw a 4-year-old girl lose her life after being found unconscious in a car with an internal temperature of at least 130 degrees . As reported by AZ Family, Buckeye Police received a distress call around 5 pm on Sunday about an unconscious child discovered in a parked car outside a residence.

The investigators revealed that a large family had traveled to a nearby park in a small SUV and returned home between 2:30 and 3:30 pm. Upon realizing the 4-year-old was missing a few hours later, they checked the car and found her unconscious inside , prompting them to call the police. Despite attempts to save her life, the girl was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Buckeye Police Public Information Officer Carissa Planalp expressed the difficulty of such incidents, stating: “Calls like these are difficult for everyone involved: the families, the first responders, and the community. Nobody wants to hear this news,” She further emphasized the dangers of extreme heat, saying: “In this extreme heat, temperatures are nothing to play with, and time is absolutely of the essence,” reports the Mirror US .
